Mainly good with a couple of reservations

I've subscribed to Tello for three months now and it has given me a flexible balance between the extremes of long-term contracts and pay-as-you-go bundles. I'm not 100% confident in it as I know on one occasion that a text indicated as 'sent' was never received. The control I have over my package is very straightforward, but I don't use any data and yet I am still forced to add a data plan to my subscription cost for some reason. I'm also rather confused by the pay-as-you-go credit system which is necessary for some features to work. I also tried the Tello app on my tablet as it indicates that it can send sms messages, but it cannot, which is a shame as I could then have given up my Skype account and switched to Tello completely. In terms of signal coverage I haven't gained, as my signal strength has remained the same (low) in the main places I use my phone. So far though, I'm very happy to have switched from Orange/EE to Tello.

I would highly recommend Tello.

I would highly recommend Tello.. Website very easy to use and the change I wanted to make was easy to do and activated immediately. I like the combined flexibility of a fixed price for national calls and data, and the pay as you go scheme for ringing my son on his mobile in Australia. The rates are very reasonable.

Great value, nice app, some niggles

Tello gives great value phone and data. Signal generally good but sometimes seems to drop off, which may be an issue with my phone or gmail, not Tello. The app is easy to use and shows me my usage etc. I like the flexibility of changing the plan any time and you can roll over unused credit, but you have to remember your end of month date otherwise you lose unused credit. I would like a reminder 2 days before renewal so I could review my requirement for the next month. I had a problem when relying on mobile data and had run out, but they didn't warn me and I just got a no internet connection message. You then can't use the app to add credit as there is no internet!
